Parents Endorsments
Rathgar Junior School is a lovely, nurturing, and creative school in Dublin 6. My two kids, aged 5 and 9, have been attending it for six years, and we are very happy with our choice.KGA & Form 4 Parent, 2024
The school has a small class size, which allows the teachers to give individual attention and feedback to each student. The curriculum is rich and inspiring, covering the National Curriculum and more. The school also offers a variety of activities that no other school offers, such as music, choir, hockey, tennis, drama, art, chess, gardening, capoeira, yoga and more.
My children couldn't be more différent and yet somehow RJS manages to cater so well to both of them. We moved here during lockdown having had a horrible experience in a previous school which diminished my child's confidence terribly and we watched her blossom upon entering RJS. It was incredible to see her back to herself again. Both my children skip into school everyday and actually miss it so much during holidays.KGA & Form 2 Parent, 2024
Our daughter started in second class/Form 2 in 2022. Her transition to Rathgar Junior School has been a very positive experience which was a huge relief for us as parents. Although she has only been there a short while she seems to know absolutely everybody in the school. I think this is testament to the fact that the school is so small and the kids get so many opportunities to interact with other classes during the day. The children are greeted at the door every morning by a member of staff making them feel so welcome and this kindness and hospitality permeates throughout the entire school community.Form 3 Parent, 2024
Our family moved from abroad in 2018 and our kids joined RJS in senior infants and form 1. Immediately our children were welcomed so warmly. We knew we had made the right decision. The Quaker ethos of the school values each individual child, and emphasises kindness and empathy. Over their journey my kids have been taught these values by the many wonderful teachers and assistants at RJS. They have received an excellent academic foundation, but importantly, have also engaged in other activities that make them rounded individuals.Form 6 Parent, 2024
